Neurofeedback Brainwave Training
Neurofeedback training helps heal and stabilize our brain. Neurofeedback improves brain functioning by naturally correcting, stabilizing, and optimizing brainwave patterns that have become dysregulated so that we can feel better and experience a long-term, permanent reduction or cessation of symptoms of ADD and ADHD, anxiety and panic attacks, depression, autism, migraines, insomnia, stroke, seizures, involuntary tics, tinnitus, coordination and mobility problems, cognition and memory problems, and other neurological issues. We have treated well over 1,000 people of all ages with neurofeedback and we have been extremely successful in helping our clients achieve significant improvements in their symptoms or the elimination of their symptoms.
Neurofeedback is a fun, non-invasive, and non-pharmaceutical training program that teaches the brain to strengthen and stabilize itself and is very effective in improving attention, mood, behavior, cognition, and general functionality. In simple terms, neurofeedback trains the brain through rewards or positive reinforcement. It teaches the brain how to be better balanced via feedback through tiny sensors that are temporarily placed on the scalp with a small amount of paste.

During your neurofeedback sessions, you'll be relaxing and watching a movie or a YouTube video on a computer or listening to music while the neurofeedback sensors keep track of your brainwave activity in real time. When the brainwaves that we're training start slowing down or speeding up from their optimal pattern, then the movie brightness will darken slightly or the music volume will decrease. Your brain immediately notices this and automatically stabilizes your brainwaves so that the movie brightness or music volume will return to normal. Through this training and the positive reinforcement that your brain receives from the movie brightness or music volume, your brain learns to keep your brainwaves stabilized and functioning at their optimal patterns. Once these healthy brainwave patterns are practiced and learned, the effects of neurofeedback are usually permanent. With neurofeedback, many people have been able to improve their symptoms naturally and permanently without needing medication. And for those who are taking medication, as the brain learns to improve and better modulate its own regulation, many people are able to reduce their medication or even gradually taper off.
Before beginning neurofeedback training, we use a qEEG (Quantitative Electroencephalogram) evaluation tool called a Brain Map to safely survey how your brain is functioning and to create a report that details your strengths, deficiencies, and any abnormalities.
By comparing this information to your symptoms, challenges, and goals, we can identify which neurofeedback treatment protocol is best for you as an individual. We do a follow-up brain mapping evaluation after your training program to track your progress and to measure how your brain functioning and symptoms have improved. Brain maps are part of all new client evaluations.
