A 30-year-old female who lived with her husband and children reported anxiety, depressed mood, and significant marital problems. She reported that she had conflicts with her husband because he would lie to her and would withhold information from her. She was often angry and frequently argued with her husband over this issue.
After therapy she reported no depression and significantly reduced anxiety. The marital conflict had subsided and she was able to communicate with her husband in a way that he was cooperative and had become open and honest with her.
